The epicenter is: about 135 km from the center of Bayan-Ulgii aimag, about 300 km from the center of Khovd aimag. Since this earthquake was strong at the epicenter, the tremors were felt by residents of the centers of Bayan-Ulgii, Khovd, and Uvs aimags and soums.

According to preliminary information, the center of Khovd aimag was felt with a magnitude of III-IV.
