The revised version of the Law on Forensic Investigation was approved on December 23, 2022 and came into effect on January 1, 2023. By Resolution No. 10 of the Government of Mongolia dated January 5, 2023, the Government Implementing Agency - General Forensic Investigation Department was established within the scope of the responsibilities of the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs. By Order No. A/10 of the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs dated January 13, 2023, the structure and staff of the organization were newly approved and changed to the Forensic Investigation Department of Dundgovi aimag.
