In accordance with the 2016-2020 Action Program of the Governor of Darkhan-Uul aimag, “Improving social protection of the elderly and establishing a center for supporting and rehabilitating the health of the elderly (Gerontology Center)”, within the framework of the policy of establishing 5 Human Development Centers, the Darkhan-Uul aimag SENIOR DEVELOPMENT CENTER was established by Resolution No. 102 of the Presidium of the Aimag’s Local Government Council dated December 28, 2020, and officially began its operations on September 27, 2021. VISION The state services provided to the elderly will be brought into line with international standards. MISSION To ensure the development of the elderly and provide them with quality and equitable access to comprehensive socio-cultural and health services. DARKHAN-UUL Aimag Senior Citizens Development Center is a MODEL CENTER for providing long-term care services based on community participation. ORGANIZATION AND STRUCTURE The center operates in 3 units with a total of 25 staff, approved by the Decree of the Governor of Darkhan-Uul aimag No. 01-A/89 dated February 28, 2024. • Development and Social Participation Unit • Health Unit • Finance and Business Unit The center provides the following services to senior citizens: • 5-day package services • 1-day package services • Daily services. Center-based day care / For seniors of level I and II/ 1.1 Health rehabilitation care and services /Medical examination and diagnosis, NEM services, Traditional Chinese medicine, Physiotherapy, Nursing care, Relaxation services.../ 1.2 Inclusive education rehabilitation care and services /Comprehensive development assessment, Development program inclusion services, Art-Art-Play therapy, Movement-Labor-Speech therapy.../ 1.3 Social development rehabilitation care and services /Psychological counseling-individual, couple, family, group, Empowerment training-English, Japanese, computer, Mongolian script, yoga meditation, dance, singing, gardening, flower planting, weaving, embroidery, decorative arts.../ 1.4 Support or other services /Social security and Library services, Cultural and sports activities, Food production, other work, events.../ 2.
