
✅As part of the integrated calendar of cultural, tourism and sports events to be held in Mongolia in 2025, the “MONGOL” Nomadic Winter Festival, which aims to promote and disseminate the intangible cultural heritage, will be held for the first time from February 16 to 22, 2025 in the “National Park” of the capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar.
✅In anticipation of the national Lunar New Year holiday celebrated by nomadic Mongolians since ancient times, the “Mongol” Nomadic Winter Festival is organized in conjunction with the Winter Snow and Ice Festival, which aims to promote and introduce the winter rituals of the seven seasons of the Mongolian Intangible Cultural Heritage and protect the Mazaalai bear, a proud animal of Mongolia, which is extremely rare in the world.
✅During the festival, the “Mazaalai” International Snow and Ice Festival will showcase intricate ice sculptures by 28 of the best participants from more than 10 countries. In addition, many events will be organized, including demonstrations and educational programs that will showcase the traditions, characteristics, food, clothing, and daily life customs, rituals, and styles of the Lunar New Year.
