“Ulaangom Second Thermal Power Plant” SOE was first established as the Pre-Commissioning Administration with a staff of 8 people by Order No. 244 of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy dated November 7, 2013. On September 15, 2014, it became the second source of heat in Uvs aimag with a staff of 60 people and began operating to provide heat and domestic hot water to consumers in Ulaangom soum. The pre-operational administration operates with the status of “Locally Owned Economic and Economic Enterprise” by Resolution No. A/67 of the Presidium of the Uvs aimag People’s Representatives’ Meeting dated May 15, 2015, and is organized and operating as the “Ulaangom Second Thermal Power Plant” State-Owned Joint-Stock Company by Resolution No. 202 of the Government of Mongolia dated June 27, 2018.
