About Us
On December 30, 1950, the building of the theater was put into use, and the music of B. Damdinsuren and B. Smirnov, and the opera "Uchirtai Three Heads with a Reason" composed by D. Natsagdorji, opened the history of the Mongolian musical theater.
Since the music theater meets the basic conditions of being a specialized opera and ballet theater, the Central Committee of the People's Republic of China and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of China, by Resolution No. 132/182 dated May 10, 1963, divided the State Central Theater into the State Opera and Dance Theater and the State Drama Theater. It was decided to make two independent theaters.
According to Decree No. 215 of July 7, 1981, the title of Academic Theater was granted to the theater.
More than 280 artists work in the artistic units of the National Theater of Ukraine: symphony orchestra class, vocal class, ballet class, choir class, administration, production, stage, and lighting department.
There are more than 100 world classical and national operas and ballets in the repertoire of the National Opera and Ballet Theater. Every year, it selects 26 operas and 21 ballets from its repertoire and presents more than 100 performances to the audience.
