Dornod Province is located in the easternmost part of Mongolia and has an area of ​​124,000 km2. It ranks 3rd in the country in terms of area. The population of Dornod province has continuously increased in the last 3 years and has reached 84 thousand. Khalkh, Buriad, Barga, and Ryekhin ethnic groups live there. As an administrative unit, 14 districts have 67 teams. 55 percent of the total population lives in Choibalsan, the center of development of the Eastern Region and the provincial center of the Order of Military Merit.
