On 27 April 2017, in Daejeon city, the Republic of Korea, a consignment research agreement between Mineral resources and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia and Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) has been signed in framework of technical cooperation in order to work on 1:50000 scale geological mapping, minerals research survey in southeast part of Mongolia. On 31 March 2015, The MOU has been signed by Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia and Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources in order to cooperate on 1:50000 scale geological mapping and mineral resources survey in southeast part of Mongolia.
