
During the official visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg, a delegation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited the Department of Mongolian and Inner Asian Studies of the Ötvös Loránd University and met with Dr. Birtalan Agnes, lecturer, master and doctoral students majoring in Mongolian language and culture and discussed Mongolian heritage and traditional customs.
The Mongolian Studies Center operating under the Department of Mongolian and Inner Asian Studies of the Ötvös Loránd University is one of the first Mongolian studies centers in Europe and Mongolian studies in Hungary have been established in the 19th century. Currently, there are more than 40 Mongolian scholars in Hungary.

ELTE University provides comprehensive research, analysis courses related to the Mongolian language, Mongolian history, culture and awards professional degrees and diplomas in this field and is the only one University in Hungary.
To date, more than 100 students have graduated from the Hungarian Eötvös Loránd University in Mongolian studies and in the 2024-2025 academic year, 18 students are studying from countries such as Hungary, China, and Kazakhstan.
