On April 7, 2025, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, L.Munkhtushig met Deputy Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan, N.Shirimov. 

State Secretary L.Munkhtushig noted that the Government of Mongolia attaches great importance to strengthening friendly relations with Turkmenistan and expanding and developing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation. 

He also emphasized that the State visit of President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh to Turkmenistan in 2024 contributed significantly to deepening and strengthening friendly relations and enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries. 

Deputy Minister of Culture N.Shirimov expressed satisfaction with the steady development of bilateral relations between Mongolia and Turkmenistan and the strengthening of cooperation both regionally and at the international arena since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Turkmenistan in 1992.
