
In accordance with Article 21, Section 21.23 of the General Law on Social Insurance, effective from January 1, 2024, the state budget pays 50 percent of the pension insurance premium corresponding to the minimum wage of a voluntarily insured herder every month. The remaining 50 percent of the pension insurance premium or 45,540 tugriks, 1 percent of the pension insurance premium or 7,920 tugriks, and 1 percent of the industrial accident and occupational disease insurance premium or 7,920 tugriks, totaling 61,380 tugriks, shall be paid by the herder himself. However, for a herder who pays premiums from income above the minimum wage, the state also pays 45,540 tugriks, and the remaining amount shall be paid by the herder himself.
