On 3 April 2025, Mr. Ankhbayar N., Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations, had a meeting with Mr. Courtenay Rattray, Chef de Cabinet of the United Nations Secretary-General. 

While updating on our priorities and activities within the scope of the United Nations, Permanent Representative Mr. Ankhbayar N. informed the Chef de Cabinet on Mongolia’s preparatory works to host the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in 2026 in Ulaanbaatar. The Chef de Cabinet Mr. Courtenay Rattray expressed appreciation to Mongolia for being an active and supportive member of the UN and briefed about the recent events and ongoing negotiations at the UN Headquarter
