“‘KHURDAN’ IT Club to Be Established Under the Capital City Governor’s Office”

Agreement Reached to Establish “KHURDAN” Club to Enhance Digital Literacy for Youth, Seniors, and People with Disabilities The Public Electronic Service Regulatory Authority, in collaboration with the Capital City Governor’s Office and the Ulaanbaatar Education Department, has agreed to establish the “KHURDAN” club aimed at improving digital skills among adolescents, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. The club will be founded under the auspices of the Capital City Governor and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, Mr. Kh. Nyambaatar, and its development will align with the Mongolian Government’s regional development policy framework. To promote and raise public awareness of the club’s activities, the official launch of the “KHURDAN” club is scheduled to take place during the “MONGOLIAN CHILDREN 2025” event at Sukhbaatar Square, held in celebration of International Children’s Day. 

Participants in the meeting included: Mr. P. Batbaatar, Director of the Public Electronic Service Regulatory Authority Mr. I. Khairatbek, Director of the Quality Control Division Ms. M. Uranchimeg, Director of the Unified Service Center Coordination Division Ms. G. Ariunzayaa, Director of the Training and Development Division Mr. Ü. Ganbold, Director of the Administrative Management Division of the Capital City Governor’s Office Mr. B. Demeddorj, Director of the Digital Transition and Unified Statistics Division at the General Education Authority Mr. B. Amartuvshin, Director of the Ulaanbaatar Education Department Ms. S. Altanzul, Senior Specialist of the Information Technology Division at the Capital City Governor’s Office and other relevant officials. 

Mr. B. Amartuvshin emphasized that the club’s activities correspond with the city’s education policy, highlighting the inclusion of digital skills training in the primary school curriculum. He noted the club will play a vital role in improving teachers’ competencies and expanding the club network. Mr. Ü. Ganbold expressed support for developing the “KHURDAN” club regionally in each district and stated that the city government is ready to provide necessary funding. Going forward, the Public Electronic Service Regulatory Authority and the Ulaanbaatar Education institutions will collaborate to increase access to digital education and contribute meaningfully to developing future human resources in the sector.
